This festival combines a LOVE of history with a LOVE of music, barbecue and Virginia craft beer! The Bluegrass, Barbecue & Brew Festival brings together the lifestyle of yesteryear with modern leisurely activities. Our intention is for the people to fall in love with Southern Virginia and all of the history, culture, food, beer and music it has to offer.
Our Third Annual Bluegrass, Barbecue & Brew Festival will feature three bluegrass bands: Balsam Range from Haywood County, North Carolina, the Darrell Webb Band from Knoxville, Tennessee, and the third band is the Wells Clan String Band of Lynchburg, Virginia. (More information about the bands can be found on the Bands page).
We will have delicious local barbecue and we will also have arts and craft vendors. (More information about vendors and breweries can be found on the Vendors & Activities page).
The three local breweries that will be featured during the festival are Apocalypse Ale Works of Lynchburg, Devil's Backbone Brewing Company of Nelson County, Starr Hill Brewing Company of Charlottesville, and Legend Brewing Company of Richmond.
